The company’s 14-year Administrative Assistant was recognized for her hard work and dedication to the CHANNELLOCK® family.
Meadville, P.A., August 11, 2022—Nominated by her peers for her dedication to the company, its people, and its culture, Channellock, Inc. is proud to announce Karen Custard as its 18th annual Falcon Award winner. Each year, the Falcon Award recognizes one Channellock, Inc. associate who consistently practices strong decision-making skills and efficient work habits in an effort to make the company a safer, more productive, and positive place to work.

As an Administrative Assistant with over 14 years of employment at Channellock Inc., Custard is the first person that staff and visitors meet when they walk into the CHANNELLOCK® plant—earning her the unofficial title of “Director of First Impressions” from her peers.
“I am one of those fortunate people that love what I do. Growing up in Meadville, Channellock, Inc. has always been a central part of my community,” said Custard. “I am incredibly grateful to work for a company that embodies the same values and beliefs as my country: hard work, perseverance, and innovation.”
Through her unrelenting positivity, service, and productivity, Custard models the four “C's” of CHANNELLOCK®’s “Vision Blue”: communication, commitment, cooperation, and constant improvement. Her dedication to Channellock, Inc., her fellow employees, and her work, combined with her willingness to always lend a hand where needed, are just a few of the many reasons she was chosen as this year’s Falcon Award winner.

Custard was awarded the 2022 Falcon Award during the Falcon Award Ceremony held at Waldameer Park in Erie, P.A. on Saturday, August 6th.
